Nullarbor Pt. 2

Updated: Jul 31

It's funny how seemingly random events can become poetic without intention. This week I drove my van back home to Perth from the Gold Coast. A 50 hour journey to wrap up 3 years of living in the van on both the Northern Beaches of Sydney, and on the south side of the Gold Coast.

As you'd expect, I've had a fair bit of thinking time on this drive. This, combined with driving through most of the places I've visited in the last few years, brought up a lot of memories. Driving past Forster where the new Big Air Bike Park is, Driving through Wagga Wagga, where Dad and I stopped when driving over initially, stopping and taking more photos of the old Nullarbor roadhouse, and many many more.

It was almost like a closing highlight reel of my life in the van.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to write-off van life as there are so many positives, but I can't wait for some change in routine in Sweden to give my riding the boost I feel like it needs.

I have been thinking about how different my life would look if I had the perfect training facilities at home already. That is almost always the main motivation behind moving every time I do. Everything's a trade off I suppose. Perfect facilities and space for progression versus life experience living/travelling/training by myself.

One of my main goals is to inspire progression in every sense of the word and what that means to you. For me, the life progression and lessons I've learnt while living in a van are just as important as the lessons I've learnt riding. I believe its not how fast you get there, how long you stay there or even actually getting there at all. I believe it's about giving something your all, and growing yourself through the process of trying to be great at something.

Not about the journey, or the destination, but how a person changes between these points.

I hope you're all having a wonderful experience on the new website and make sure to put your email in the contact section if you'd like email reminders when the weekly blog comes out.

See ya next week...
